November Goals: the Good, the Bad & the Flannel

Here's how I did this week...

(1) Do something meditational/yoga-ish for 15-20 minutes a day...

I have been doing fairly well with this, although it has been much more meditational than yoga-ish. Hopefully, some actual yoga will happen, too, this month.

(2) Develop a strategy for the remainder of the year...

I am working on this, too, and beginning to think that launching anything in January is going to be too soon. I have blog posts planned, but may hold off on creating new products/programs/etc.

(3) Choose a "home improvement" goal for the month...

I decided that I am going to get flannel sheets and pillowcases. Yay! Comfort. Now, I just have to decide between chocolate and terracotta.

How did you do this week?

  1. I love the idea of flannel sheets as a goal -- good to mix in something comfy and fun with all the other very worthy goals. I also like that you are getting them in your colors! On another note, I know you like to do First Family fashion reviews and look forward to reading more about the Obamas sometime!

    1. Hi Ann! Thanks!! I know, I love the idea of comfort as a goal. Yes, I do love taking a look at what they wore. Maybe I'll do that during Inauguration Week!

  2. Oh I LOVE flannel sheets. I wonder if I can find some that have a really deep pocket. That don't break my pocket. :)
You are doing way better than me with the blog posts. I haven't blogged in a week.

Oh, and you're doing great with your other goals, too!

  4. oh a daily yoga goal, what a great idea! I have had a lot more pain issue with my back since traveling so much the last few weeks and this would be a huge help. Also, if I picked the sheets just on name, it would probably be terra-cotta...good luck!

    1. Hi Tammy! I did choose sheets that are more like terracotta than chocolate. And yes, I have found any yoga I do to be very helpful with my back. And neck. And shoulders...

  5. Sounds like a smart idea to hold off on launching new products until after the new year. Having warm flannel sheets and pillowcases sounds wonderful during the colder months.

  6. I wanted to tell you that I love your blog, even though I am not a "woman of color." I just love color and have been exploring all the different color analysis sites. It took me a looong time to figure out that I am probably a deep autumn. My dominant characteristics are deep, warm, and soft. Having very light skin kept me looking in the winter and summer categories until I finally figured out that I was actually a warm. I look forward to seeing more of the deep autumn combos that you come up with.

    1. Angela, how wonderful!! Thanks so much! And stay tuned, because in the next month or so, I am doing a featured blogger post and the blogger is also a deep autumn. Might so some holiday stuff around it, too.

  7. What fun goals!! I would go with chocolate, but that's just me! When we lived in NY we had to use flannel sheets since it was so cold at night. Here in NJ we get them out once in awhile...there is nothing like them!

    1. Thanks!! I agree, Aurie, they are so comfy! Well, I did choose chocolate-colored shams, but the sheet set is a sort of burnt apricot.
