Welcome to October! Hope you are enjoying beautifully vivid, falling leaves and crisp, fall weather where you are.
Here are my goals for the month...
(1) Finish writing my new ebook, Start with Ten. It's an ebook that offers many different ways to reinvent your style, your wardrobe, yourself and your life by making no more than ten changes.
(2) Clearing clutter, part two, in my bedroom. For some rason, I am finding it harder to work on this room, so hopefully, having some accountability (not to mention a deadline) will help.
(3) Finalize my fall capsule wardrobe by adding a few key pieces. I've got my capsule wardrobe narrowed down to about 20 pieces I really love. Some are perfect now, while it's still warm, and others are waiting for colder weather. I want to clarify what I really need & limit myself to buying only a few key pieces.
(4) Set up Carbonite on my laptop. Had a "spilled water" scare w/ my computer and I want to know I am secure if that should ever happen again.
What are your goals for the month?

"When we find the set that enhances you above all the others, what we have really uncovered are the exact pigments already in your skin, in your body. When you then wear the colors you already are, you look like magic because your person and your attire is sending the same wavelength of energy to the viewer." ~~Christine Scaman, 12 Blueprints

Those are great goals to go by! I'm going to make some new ones for the new year!
ReplyDeleteHi Tami! Thanks!! I like to do big goals once a year. But this year, I sort of started over on my birthday in June, so I am not sure if I will do anything new in January.
DeleteI think there's always at least one room in the house that is more challenging to do. For me, it's my home office. Your idea for an e-book sounds very interesting. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteHi Ann! I bet a home office would be challenging for me, as well, if I had one. And actually, my bedroom is doing a bit of "home office" duty, which is part of its problem. Thanks!! I'm having fun writing it. You have a great weekend, too!
DeleteThat capsule wardrobe sounds like a great idea!
ReplyDeleteHi Eileen! Thanks!!
DeleteI like the idea of your book. Funny you mention goals. I was watching a wonderful video today about a guy who wrote about "standards" in lieu of goals. He's not advocating getting rid of goals. But to the contrary talking about how having standards can bring one more joy. Here is the tape if you're interested.

This link above is to an interview that Liloumace did with the "standards" guy. I had to shorten the link because it was to long. (just sayin...so you know it isn't a spam link)
Hi Sandra! Thanks!! I like the idea of standards, too. Or values, in general. That's kind of how I came to the clutter goal. I was thinking about the concept of creating a beautiful life or a charmed life without having to be rich first. And I realized that for me, happiness is fairly simple, and not that expensive. But I knew it was much less cluttered than my current experience, so the decluttering began! :)
DeleteGreat list. Ambitious with 4. I love the sounds of your e-book. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Sherri! Thanks!! Yes, it is ambitious, but I had to add that last one to make sure I had some accountability for doing it now, and not putting it off.
DeleteWow - your book sounds great!!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Aurie! I am having fun writing it!!
