October Goals: The Exhaustion Edition

Here's how I did this week...

(1) Finish writing my new ebook, Start with Ten: Well, it's still not finished, but I did do some writing this week. I *think* I'll be able to finish by next week but there is still quite a bit left to do. Fingers crossed! :)

(2) Clearing clutter, part two, in my bedroom: I definitely made great progress with my room!!

I threw away a ton of books from all over the house, including the bookcase in my room, so that that bookcase could be much clearer. Actually, they are all on my landing, waiting for me to decide where they are going to go.

But anyway, my bookcase looks great, now! There are still three hotspots in my room but I hope to take care of those in the next week.

Plus, I have a big picture behind a chair with a crack in the glass. It's waiting for me to decide if I like it enough to have it repaired. But believe me, those are minor compared to the mess that was my room a few weeks ago.

(I'm ignoring the issue of my walk-in closet, for now, and not considering it a part of my room. And that might have to wait a bit.)

So ... all this progress is the good news. But it came at quite a cost! I exhausted myself. I overdid it and when I realized I was overdoing it, kept going, like a crazy person. *smacks self on the forehead*

And now, I am resting and recovering.

(3) Finalize my fall capsule wardrobe by adding a few key pieces: I think I am going to add one more piece and then, I'll be done for now...

It's a dark brown, but not quite as dark in the catalog as it looks online.

(4) Set up Carbonite on my laptop: done! And I'm so glad I have it.

How did you do this week?

  3. Way to go :) I love the feeling of a clean and organized space - and I generally shut the door of the closet so I can ignore the mess until it's too much :)

    1. Hi Mandy! A capsule wardrobe is a smaller set of clothes that all mix and match well together and have been planned & coordinated to create the maximum number of different outfits possible. Congrats on the weight loss!!

  6. You are so organized! I wish I had that kind of energy. I also have a ton of books to get rid of. What did you do with the books? Did you donate them or just trash them?

    1. Hi Cheryl! So far, they are just hanging out on my landing. I'm not sure if I will donate them or just get rid of them. Thanks for stopping by! I hope to keep up with your posts from the UBC challenge. Mine are at http://www.startwithten.net :).
