Bold, Structured Coat for Fall

Finding the Perfect Bold Structured Coat...

Tips from In Style Magazine

(1) Use a belt to cinch it, creating a waist if your body type is an hourglass or one that looks better with some waist emphasis.

Waist Emphasis: Casual or More Defined

(2) If not consider pairing the coat with leggings or skinny pants, and creating a monochromatic look beneath the coat. Or, for extra help really camouflaging an apple shape, you can draw the eye upward with a stylish scarf.

Add a Scarf

(3) Want something less structured?...

  1. Hi Jeanine, I love the colors of those coats and scarves -- so cozy and chic at the same time! I am wishing for cooler weather since the fall has been weirdly warm here...My best coat shape is either straight or with a slightly raised waist (hard to find, but so flattering on me.)

    1. I think flattering coats are hard to find, too! I don't mind if it never gets cold enough for coats, but I do love sweater weather. Good to see you, Ann!
