Today is my mom's birthday!! She has been great to buy for lately because I know her season and can get her fun new things that are perfect for her coloring.
Happy Birthday, Mom!
We celebrated early (last week) and had a wonderful time! Can you tell where we were? More pics in Monday's post...
Here's how I did this week...
(1) Read Clear Your Clutter with Feng Shui : and choose at least one area to clear this month. And I'm hoping to clear all my clutter by the end of the year (please, God).

Although this goal is complete, I cleared four more areas this week!
On the other hand, I wanted to do more, but did not have the energy to do all I had planned. There are still five big areas left, and I have to wonder if they will end up being carried over to next month.
(2) Start with Ten Challenge: Choose ten items for my early-fall, transitional capsule wardrobe this month and live in them.
This is great experience, because I already decided I have worn one piece for the last time. I like the substantive feel of it, and its big, round buttons, but that color just is not right for me. Too cool, I think. Say goodbye...
(3) Read Archetypes of the Enneagram: Exploring the Life Themes of the 27 Enneagram Subtypes from the Perspective of Soul. Or, at least read the chapter about my own type.
I read it last week, and this week, even re-read the part about my type. So, done!
How did you do this week?

"When we find the set that enhances you above all the others, what we have really uncovered are the exact pigments already in your skin, in your body. When you then wear the colors you already are, you look like magic because your person and your attire is sending the same wavelength of energy to the viewer." ~~Christine Scaman, 12 Blueprints

You are amazing...simply amazing! Any tips on clearing clutter?
ReplyDeleteHi Deanna! Thanks so much!! Tips? Well, in the book she says that if you are just overwhelmed at even the thought of clearing clutter, you can do one of 2 things. One is to start small because each thing you do will help to energize & motivate you for the next thing. The other is to pursue personal growth because eventually, you won't be able to stand having it around you. :)
DeleteWow look at you!! This is awesome. You wanted to clean out your clutter by the end of the year and now you are talking about you might have to carry it over until next month. You have done amazing!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to your MOM!!
Thanks, Sherri!! It feels SO much better to be at home. And I'm still not done, so I keep thinking it will feel even better when I am.
DeleteYour doing great Jeanine, happy birthday to your Mom :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Claire!! :)
DeleteCongratulations on the clutter progress and happy birthday to your mom! That shirt is very nice but I can see how much more vivid your personal coloring is compared to the tone of the shirt.. I am having a hard time getting rid of some clothes I like even though they are not my best colors.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Ann!! And I am glad you understand. It can be so hard to let go when there's something you really like about it.
DeleteYou're doing great! You've gone above and beyond your goals, and you still have one more week! Good for you!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Nikki!!
DeleteWOW!! You are just on fire this month Jeanine! Holy buckets have you got a lot accomplished!! The decluttering one, by far, must feel like such a relief to have done. That's good that you want to keep going on decluttering other areas of your home. Will be looking forward to hearing your progress on this next week/month.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Ann!!! I so appreciate that. And yes, it is a relief. But at the same time, an insistent push to do more, to finish what I have started, so I can feel even better.
DeleteWow - you are making amazing progress :) Way to go - and Happy Birthday to your mom!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Aurie!!
DeleteLove the goals...especially the choose ten pieces...I really need to cull out the extra pieces I never wear...thanks for the inspiration my dear!
ReplyDeleteHi Tamera! Thanks!! So great to see you here. You know, it is harder to stick to ten than I expected. I have already cheated, but don't tell anyone. :)
