Formal Color: Your “LBD” Color…
This color is your version of black. I say “version,”
because not everyone can wear black well. In fact, very few people can, unless
they have deep coloring, and even then, it can look kind of stark and is
probably not their color to shine in, if another choice is available. In my
opinion, unless you are a winter, I would reserve black for funerals or other
occasions where you really have to wear it.
But even if you cannot wear black, there is a formal color
that will make you look your best on fancy occasions. David Zyla recommends
using the ring around your eye to find this color. For me, it would be a deep
green or a dark olive green, but for others, it might be a charcoal gray or a
very dark, midnight blue.

Gorgeous green, isn't it? What color is the ring around your eye?

"When we find the set that enhances you above all the others, what we have really uncovered are the exact pigments already in your skin, in your body. When you then wear the colors you already are, you look like magic because your person and your attire is sending the same wavelength of energy to the viewer." ~~Christine Scaman, 12 Blueprints

ReplyDeleteYou're welcome!
DeleteInteresting. My ring is grayish; but I tend not to wear gray because my hair is gray. Perhaps I'm missing something. Maybe the gray would work. I'll have to experiment. Thank you for this post.
ReplyDeleteOh I bet it would be stunning! If you do try it, Sandy, let us know how what you think.
DeleteMy ring would have to be olive I guess. Maybe that's why yellow looks good on me. New follower from the Southern Bloggers. Julie @ http://icreatepurtythangs.blogspot.com. I'm in Tennessee.
ReplyDeleteHi Julie! Have you tried wearing olive? You might be right, that that's why yellow works for you. Thanks for visiting! I go see what you're up to as well.
