August Goals: Reading & Homeschooling

(1) Pick a book to read or finish and journal about it: It might be Eat, Pray, Love or The Answer is Simple or another one altogether.

Well, I haven't finished either of the ones I mentioned, but I did finish The Spiritual Dimension of the Enneagram: Nine Faces of the Soul, by Sandra Maitri. Although I am not new to the Enneagram, I have come to realize recently that I am a type five instead of a type four, and this book helped me confirm it.

(2) Homeschool planning: as always, I have left it for this month, but hopefully, I can get it done in a month. At least the outline for the year, but hopefully, even more specific planning, week by week, and month by month.

I have started planning! But so far, that only means I have chosen and purchased everything we will need (so excited about it all) and have planned a few of the holiday weeks. After this week, though my work schedule will lighten considerably and hopefully, I will quickly get quite a bit more done.

Here's another book I think we'll be using...

(3) Create a fall capsule wardrobe: I feel more settled in my seasonal colors and fashion feng shui style, so now it's time to get absolutely clear about what I am going to wear.

Oh the fall catalogs are full of tasty goodies! :)

I am pruning my closet and developing a plan and trying to get super-clear about what I want my fall wardrobe to look like.

(4) Go see 2 Days in NY: Adding this goal because I hope it will force me to actually go to the movies this month. I always say I'm going to go but then I never do.

So far, I have lost enthusiasm for going to the movies, but maybe when they start to advertise this movie later in the month, I'll get interested in it again.

How did your week go?

When you then wear the colors you already are, you look like magic because your person and your attire is sending the same wavelength of energy to the viewer." ~~Christine Scaman, 12 Blueprints
