August Goals: Doing Well this Week! You?

(1) Pick a book to read or finish and journal about it: It might be Eat, Pray, Love or The Answer is Simple or another one altogether.
I haven't finished either of the ones I mentioned, but two weeks ago, I finished The Spiritual Dimension of the Enneagram: Nine Faces of the Soul, by Sandra Maitri. And then, I read parts of it again.

Although I am not new to the Enneagram, I am coming to understand it in a whole new way! And I realized recently that I am a type nine instead of a type five or four, as I had previously thought, and this book helped me confirm it. Another good book I finished this week was The Enneagram Made Easy, by Elizabeth Wagele, which is where this picture comes from...

(2) Homeschool planning: as always, I have left it for this month, but hopefully, I can get it done in a month. At least the outline for the year, but hopefully, even more specific planning, week by week, and month by month.

I'm doing well with this goal, too! I have quite a few months completely finished, and am fairly sure I can finish the whole year by the end of next week.

Here's some of the things we'll be singing...

And maybe...

(3) Create a fall capsule wardrobe: I feel more settled in my seasonal colors and fashion feng shui style, so now it's time to get absolutely clear about what I am going to wear.

I am still participating in the Make It Real Makeover Challenge and have just devoured the fall issues of Vogue and Marie Claire, so I will have more to add to my personal style vision board. And then, I think, next week is when we begin to separate the wheat from the chaff! :)

(4) Go see 2 Days in NY: Adding this goal because I hope it will force me to actually go to the movies this month. I always say I'm going to go but then I never do.

I don't think that's going to happen this month. I did read a fairly good review from the website where I got this picture, but it definitely doesn't seem to be getting a lot of media attention. And I don't think it has opened here yet.

Did you have a good week this week?

"When we find the set that enhances you above all the others, what we have really uncovered are the exact pigments already in your skin, in your body. When you then wear the colors you already are, you look like magic because your person and your attire is sending the same wavelength of energy to the viewer." ~~Christine Scaman, 12 Blueprints

  1. You did great this month! You picked some good songs to sing, and you can't see a movie until it comes out!

    1. Thanks, Nikki!! You're right, I guess maybe I'm not supposed to see it this month.

  2. OOh...I LOVE those shows!! It makes me want to get up and dance now :) Enjoy your weekend!!

    1. Thanks, Aurie!! I love them, too, and am excited to share them with my son.

  3. We love watching Sound of Music! Sophia is learning to play some of the songs from the Sound of Music on her harp, so the Sound of Music is ever-present in our home which is nice. The book you've been reading sounds very intriguing and has provided some interesting insights. Great job this week!!

    1. Thanks, Ann! Yes, it has, and boy, were they surprising. We love the Sound of Music, too!
