Magical Power Colors: Finding Your Power Reds

Golden Palette, Power Reds

For Donna Fujii, your power reds are colors that will draw attention to you, but they might not be red at all. For instance, one of my power reds is paprika, or more like a red-orange.  And my red is a warm red, not the Crayola red we often picture when we hear the word.

(me, wearing "power" red lipstick)

I think I found a red that works as a power red, from Lands End, and I'm so pleased, I'm considering ordering a jacket in that red berry color!

(That is what it actually looks like, btw! Apparently, even when I draw the blinds a bit, the sun steals some of the color from my clothes. Rude, isn't it?)

And here I am in a sort of paprika color, both the tank top and the lipstick...

Here's more warm power red inspiration a friend of mine found on Pinterest...

“Like the Dramatics, the bright and deep Reds also tend to attract attention to you. They are great for parties, speeches, or just to attract attention. Like the Romantic Reds, your Reds must closely match your skin color in terms of coolness or warmth, because they will flatter or undermine your skin tone.” –Donna Fujii, Color with Style

and circumscribed by the timeless principles of art. It produces a color palette unique to you, specifically designed to complement your own skin, hair and eye color." –Color Alliance

"When we find the set that enhances you above all the others, what we have really uncovered are the exact pigments already in your skin, in your body. When you then wear the colors you already are, you look like magic because your person and your attire is sending the same wavelength of energy to the viewer." ~~Christine Scaman, 12 Blueprints
