Kick It Up a Notch with Red & Orange!

Red and Orange Inspiration

Great idea, right? But I have to admit, after my own experimentation, that not all red-and-orange combinations are created equal! Here's my take on it...

The first one was such an overpowering combo, I cropped most of the orange out of the picture! But I love the second outfit. I bought several jackets in different colors from Fresh Produce, and I think I'm in love.

What strange, new color combinations have you tried (or will you try)?

I am linking up today with Lindsey at The Pleated Poppy for What I Wore Wednesday...

"When we find the set that enhances you above all the others, what we have really uncovered are the exact pigments already in your skin, in your body. When you then wear the colors you already are, you look like magic because your person and your attire is sending the same wavelength of energy to the viewer." ~~Christine Scaman, 12 Blueprints

  1. ...I think I just might have to! These are two colors I don't have much of in my closet. I thinks it's because I'm not sure what to pair them with. I like how you have them with earthy tones.

    1. Hi Chandra! Thanks!! Well, if you do, take a pic, because I think they look great together. And I have been trying other "weird" combos like red with brown or orange with bright blue and I really like them.

    1. Hi Violet! Thanks so much for visiting!! Oh I agree. I used to wear purple and green together all the time. In fact, I had jewelry with both colors. And way back when, when I was wilder, I wore purple eyeliner and green and purple eyeshadow. But don't tell anybody! :)

    1. Thanks, Sandra! Well, winters create a lot of shocking contrast already, so there are lots of fabulous ways to mix up color using that palette.
