June Goals Update: The Birthday Edition

(1) Read my attachment parenting book and choose the first things I want to try as a way of strengthening my relationship with my son.

Hmm. I have been putting this one off. I've been journaling and reading other things, instead. I will have to try to get to this next week...

(2) Create 5 or 6 healthier meals and try each one, spending the time with my son cooking them. My goal in general is to cook at least one meal together each day and I am sort of weaving these two goals together.

We are doing very well with this one. I do need to admit to one McDonald's drive-thru incident but the rest of the meals were better and we cooked them together!

Got to admit, though, that I am giving myself permission to break all the rules this weekend, because tomorrow is my birthday and this weekend, all bets are off! (25 again? Sure! Why not? ;)

(3) Order the Vivid Rich Autumn color palette and create a capsule wardrobe that includes vivid autumn colors and incorporates what I am learning in my Fashion Feng Shui class.

I am doing well with this one and am especially pleased with what I have, so far, that supports what I am learning in my FFS class.

So, I think we're gonna go with "2 out of 3 ain't bad!"

How did you do this week?

    1. Ann, he sometimes does that now, if I let him, but usually I don't because if I do, what makes it to the table is a bit less than we started out with, LOL! Thanks!!

  4. Happy Birthday and congratulations with meeting most of your goals. Maybe you and your son can experiment and come up with a healthy version of a hamburger. I'd bet he would get a kick out of that. Thanks for sharing your goals.
