3 in 30 and The Pursuit of Contentment

Starting this month, my good friend, Aurie Good will be hosting our 3 in 30 linkups each week! I have been visiting her blog at least once a week for well over a year now and am delighted to do so for this challenge, as well.

Join us! It is such a good way to support yourself as you pursue your goals. The wonderful women who visit and encourage each other will help you, too, to hang in there even if the going gets tough!

Speaking of which, here’s some encouragement for all of us who have tough goals and wonder sometimes if we’ll ever get to the end of them…

The Pursuit of Contentment

I took a more contemplative approach to choosing this month’s goals. Yesterday, my son and I completed our homeschooling for the year, so I decided to make a list of possible summer goals and then spend some intuitive time seeking guidance about which ones to pick for June.

The message I got was multi-faceted and addressed pursuing contentment, healing and detoxifying my life. I believe that was a whole-summer message, but it still made it easier to choose the ones for this month.

(1) Read my attachment parenting book and choose the first things I want to try as a way of strengthening my relationship with my son.

(2) Create 5 or 6 healthier meals and try each one, spending the time with my son cooking them. My goal in general is to cook at least one meal together each day and I am sort of weaving these two goals together.

(3) Order the Vivid Rich Autumn color palette and create a capsule wardrobe that includes vivid autumn colors and incorporates what I am learning in my Fashion Feng Shui class.

  1. A good way that I found to try new healthy recipes was Pinterest. I love it and was able to find quite a few new family favs!! Have a great week!!

  2. What a meaningful trio of goals. You and your son will have a lot of wonderful memories that you made together by the end of the summer. I'll look forward to hearing about the healthy meals. With summer almost here, I'm going to try to make more meals with locally-grown produce. Hopefully my daughters will like them! ;)
