(1) Creating community here at this blog: the two things I want to focus on this month are traffic and comments.a) Toward that end, for traffic, I want to write one article, create one Squidoo lens and post one new video on YouTube this month.
b) For comments, I want to meet more bloggers and hang out with them a bit. Do you have a blog I could visit?
I've met some wonderful bloggers this month! What great finds!! And I did make a new Squidoo lens. How about that, huh? Not too shabby!
(2) Healthy changes: This is sort of a continuation of last month's goal about slowing down, drinking more tea, getting more sleep and eating more protein.
More water, less salt. Some slowing down. But I think I will move this over to next month because I am getting more and more inspired in this area and I love what the accountability of this group does for me.
(3) Avoiding last year's Easter disaster: My choice for an Easter ensemble last year was a BIG mistake! This month, I need to determine if it was just the color or other factors that made it so.
I still need to have my dress altered (shortened to tea-length is what I'm thinking) and I haven't decided for sure about the cardigan I'm going to wear with it. But I already feel better about it than I did last year. I'll figure it out!
So all in all, I feel pretty good about this month.
How about you? Did your month go well?

Warm Autumn:“This woman never pretends. She won’t say something just to flatter you unless she believes it to be true. She cries harder than anyone at a funeral. She is fiercely loyal to her family but will not spare them hard work or spoil them with extravagance. She may seem to absorb a lot of demands but when she draws the line at enough, everyone knows it.” ~~Christine Scaman, 12 Blueprints
Deep Autumn:"Sensible and straightforward as all Autumns, but direct in speech, and quick to absorb change with good evidence, they speak honestly and bluntly. What I love most, I believe, is that they are not one bit threatened or defensive about new ideas. The person may demonstrate more of Winter’s reserve, or more of Autumn’s passive and natural way, but there is always an element of fire." ~~Christine Scaman, 12 Blueprints

Sounds like you made some good progress this month, Jeanine! And that's what this group is all about, right? Can't wait to see how you do in April!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Ralene! I love how encouraging this group is!!
DeleteGreat progress :) Can't wait to see your Easter outfit. I know what my girls will be wearing, but me? I have NO idea :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Aurie!! LOL! That was me last year, and we know how well that turned out, so I encourage you to give it some thought.
DeleteCongratulations on not only setting goals but following through with them! It's SO not easy!
ReplyDeleteMy goal was to take a vacation, which we did. Hubby and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary at Lake Tahoe. And I didn't gain any weight! Not easy when we had all that cake but we must have done enough walking at that high altitude to offset the calories.
Jeanine, send me a pic if you want my opinion about your dress. Can't address the color(that's your area!) but I'll be glad to give you fit and style ideas.
Ooh, I sure will, Barbara!! How fun to take a Tahoe vacation. I was there for an afternoon when I was visiting a best friend in Reno a gazillion years ago.
DeleteGood for you, having such a good month! Feel free to visit my blog!
ReplyDeleteHi Nikki! Thanks!! I definitely will.
DeleteGreat job Jeanine!! I look forward to pictures of your easter dress. I have no idea what so ever that I am going to wear. I am hoping that I can make a skirt that I have been dying to make. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Sherri! Thanks!! Wow, you are still planning to make something? I so admire that about you.
DeleteI am not sure now. I am hoping too but I am running out of time. LOL
DeleteOh my gosh, Sherri! Good luck if you do decide to make something.
DeleteYou did a wonderful job meeting your goals this month, Jeanine! I like the accountability aspect of the group as well. It seems like I'm more motivated to get things done rather than let them slide knowing I need to be accountable for doing something by Friday of each week. Looking forward to seeing how your Easter outfit turns out. You have such great fashion sense!
ReplyDeleteWow, Ann, thanks!!! I'm looking forward to seeing how it turns out, too (*bites nails*), because I still haven't gotten it hemmed (*smacks hand*). Plus my hairdo died and now I need to get my hair done again and... ay ay ay!
