Toward a Dressier "Six!": Choosing Items for the Six Items or Less Challenge

Trying Out My Dress for the Six Items or Less Challenge...

It was a little cooler this morning than most have been this week, I decided to try out my new J. Jill russet dress to evaluate it as a possibility for my “six.” I loved it! But I wasn’t completely sure about the leggings.

What do you think?

Here’s what I learned from my picture-taking extravaganza…

(1) Russet: good color for me
(2) Dress look: not without leggings
(3) Boots: not so much (decided not to show that picture)
(4) Scarves: great way to change the look

Perhaps I will try it on next with my regular pants. Because if I choose these leggings and camel pants, then I don’t have brown pants for my regular-length tops. Those tops would not be a good match for the leggings!

Feeling More Sure of My Choices for Six Items or Less...

Russet dress
Walnut dress
Camel pants
Brown leggings
Yellow pullover

Not sure about item #6: green pullover? Brown sweater? Ah, well! I don't have to decide right away.

My Biggest Worry about Six Items or Less...

That I will be miserably bored!! Or look horrible in the clothes I've chosen. Thankfully, since I know I am a warm autumn, that second one is unlikely, but boredom is still a possibility.

Having trouble deciding which season you are? I'd be happy to help!

Warm Autumn:“This woman never pretends. She won’t say something just to flatter you unless she believes it to be true. She cries harder than anyone at a funeral. She is fiercely loyal to her family but will not spare them hard work or spoil them with extravagance. She may seem to absorb a lot of demands but when she draws the line at enough, everyone knows it.” ~~Christine Scaman, 12 Blueprints
