Soft Autumn Personality...
I love some of the descriptions I have found online about the soft autumn personality.
"You find yourself telling this person your dreams. They integrate Autumn’s open minded acceptance of new personalities and ideas and Summer’s gentle kindness. Autumn’s very natural disposition, completely without airs or pretense, is still here but tempered to lessen the more abrupt honesty. One feels so comfortable in this presence that our own masks and guards fall away. There is no threat, no tension, and no judgement." ~~Christine Scaman, 12 Blueprints
Here are some of the words used to describe the soft autumn look on the Truth Is Beauty website: subtle, tender, gentle, natural, quiet, sincere, peaceful. There are more but those are the ones I relate to most.
Creating a Soft Autumn Capsule Wardrobe...
In this same post, Christine describes soft autumns as feminine & nurturing, pointing out that they facilitate growth and happiness for those they love. She suggests creating a soft, muted capsule wardrobe that expresses the feminine with floral patterns.
Though I am not a fan of floral patterns, I do like paisley. And the dressing your truth type 2 also needs pattern to fully express softness. So I will keep an eye out for how I might add a touch of the feminine to my soft autumn capsule wardrobe.
Soft Autumn Color Analysis...
Are you a soft autumn?
Soft Autumn is one of the neutral seasons, which means that it is a warm season but with some summer influence. Summer adds a smidge of cool. It's also one of the soft seasons.
What that means is that there is not a lot of contrast between your hair, your eyes and your skin. Your eyes are soft and muddy, your skin is neither completely warm nor completely cool and your hair is a sort of mousy, dull color.
African-Americans or other women of color with soft hazel, golden brown, amber or warm brown eyes, and who are light-skinned should consider this season.
Today's Soft Autumn Outfit...
I love this outfit!! Maybe because the brown is a stronger color? The lighting on the second pic is terrible, though, which is too bad because I think it would have been a much better pic had the sun not been hiding.
